is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health, Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional, and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 15 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults and couples. She is the co-founder of Embracing Life Transitions LLC, a private practice dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's transitions while improving their emotional well-being.
Latrice specializes in treating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and substance use. Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Gestalt Therapy, with an emphasis on increasing self-awareness and focusing on the present moment. She believes that healing begins by understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, empowering clients to create meaningful and lasting change.
Latrice is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to share their truth. She believes that just as diet and exercise are essential for maintaining physical health, therapy is vital for nurturing mental and emotional wellness. While the past cannot be changed, it does not have to define the future. Through therapy, clients gain practical tools and insight to break unhealthy patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and move confidently toward the life they desire.
In addition to her clinical work, Latrice is the author of Hey Sis, I See You, a coloring and activity workbook designed to promote self-care, reflection, and emotional wellness beyond the therapy session. Her goal is to equip individuals with practical resources they can incorporate into their daily lives as part of their healing journey.
Outside of her professional work, Latrice enjoys spending quality time with her son, starting her mornings with a 6:00 a.m. workout, traveling, and embracing opportunities for personal growth and wellness.
